five things

Well, it looks like it's going to be three days of fives around here. Andrew gave you five facts yesterday, I'm going to give you five things today, and you know that five things always come on Friday. Oops. Sorry. I'll try to pick a new number next week.

I found Jessi's blog a few weeks ago. She runs 100 miles each month and has started following the paleo diet and she works for Nike headquarters. She sounds super intense, right? But she isn't INYOFACE fitness at all and blogs about all kinds of stuff that I like reading about. She tagged me in her Five Things post yesterday and I love to play along... so here goes.

Five Things I'm Passionate About

Good Food - This probably shouldn't be a passion, but it is. I love trying quality stuff with the best ingredients and telling people about it, finding the best new restaurants, and stalking out celebrity chefs. One day we will meet, Marcus Samuelsson.

Making Memories - Especially with my husband and nieces - I love being able to say "Remember the time we..."

Working Hard - This is mostly a work thing, but I always have to let people know that I have done the best I can. Sadly, it does not spill over into my domestic duties. Sorry not sorry?

Being Silly - Is that a passion? Whatever, my list, my rules. I wouldn't call myself funny, but I am silly, and anytime I'm silly I'm having a good time so it's important to me so let's call it a passion.

Learning a Little Bit About Everything - I like to know which actor has been in what movie with whom, a short trick to edit your photos, how to work both iPhones and Droids, things like that. I like to pick up knowledge where ever I can; it makes me feel well-rounded.

Five Things I Want to do Before I Die

Travel overseas
Find a job in a field that I 100% love (will that be working for myself? Staying home and becoming the next Martha Stewart? Who knows?)
Be really, really good at something (besides napping)
Learn to live on less sleep
Stop sweating the small stuff

Boom. That was harder than I thought. What are some of your passions, favorite movies, favorite books, or places you want to travel? Do you say that you're kind of a big deal in the workplace and have your coworkers think you have a really big ego, or is that just me?

  1. Omg so many perf things in this post. Marcus Samuelsson. Jen Lancaster (but now we know she sucks), Napa, and all of your movies. Except I've never seen Enchanted. So really just the first four!!

  2. I need to work on not sweating the small stuff too! I get so worked up for nothing most of the time! And I too love Harry Potter. I would add the HP series to movies I'd never get tired of too! Obsessed? Guilty.

  3. I keep asking my husband if I can quit my job and work for myself. We'll both be the next Martha Stewart. (you know, minus the whole money scandal and jail thing)

I loved Anchorman, so excited for the sequel!!!

Thanks for tagging me, I love these types of posts! I'll do my lists tomorrow! Yay!:D

  4. I like what you wrote about making memories. One reason I started blogging was because I wanted a place to record some memories (I have a physical paper journal as well).

  10. Yay! Thanks for tagging me! Going to post about this soon!
We are passionate about the same things, especially being silly! I try not to take life too seriously. :)
We also have the same taste in movies! I could watch Anchorman and the 40 year old virgin everyday! #partyinmypants

I like comments and read them all but I'm not great about responding to them, so please don't be offended. I would much rather visit your blog instead!
