I was going to insert a collage of stuff here but figured you didn't really need to see it. Like I say, lazy always wins.
- Sonic. Man, I love their tater tots and drinks. My go-to order was always a footlong chili-cheese coney until I looked at the nutrition info and I haven't fully enjoyed one since. Hopefully I'll forget how many calories are in that soon because the grilled chicken ciabatta sandwich just isn't the same.
- Cheese dip. Growing up, queso was the yummy cheesy dip I got at Mexican restaurants as a treat; cheese dip was the stuff made from cubed Velveeta and Rotel tomatoes at home in the crock pot. I loved them both equally. These days, my love for cheese dip has waned a bit - I only have it a few times a year if I'm at my mom's - but I still really like it.
- Chocolate outside/yellow inside donuts. I touched on this when I talked about my trip to Delaware. Entenmann's really are the best, but in a pinch I can settle for those locally available. Since they aren't the same, I can usually talk myself out of them but if you put them in front of me, it's hard to say no.
- Spoonfuls of sweet stuff from Trader Joe's. I have already shared the wonder of cocoa almond spread with you. Add to that my new love of chocolate-cookie butter spread. It's amazing. I get a jar and double dip to my heart's content so I don't have to share. It's pretty gross but at least I use a spoon and not my fingers!
-Boxed Macaroni and Cheese. I prefer the Kraft kind with the liquid cheese (what is it with me and fake cheese?)
- Peanut Butter M&Ms. I like to say that I won't waste calories on inferior chocolate. M&Ms aren't exactly quality candy but MAN are they delicious. I also go crazy for Cadbury mini eggs and can't wait for them to be be out with the rest of the Easter candy!
I'm sure there are many, many more, but these are the most dominant. Will you still trust my food opinion? Any food guilty pleasures you want to confess to?
These feel like confessions so I'm gonna link up with Kathy!
although i refuse to give my daughter kraft dinner, i LOVE it. i don't eat it anymore but when i used to- OMFG SO GOOOD. i would even add ketchup because hello, cheese and ketchp is a perfect pair.

Vodka and Soda
Mmmmm queso. I love queso. And spinach dip, which surprised me. And I have some cookie butter spread in my cabinet at work but I'm trying to avoid it cuz dangerous.
ReplyDeleteHaha I'm totally into fake cheese and Sonic too. My husband HATES Sonic, but I think it is soooo good.
ReplyDeleteI feel you on this post. I love taco cabana no matter how many awesome mexican restaurant food (or authentic mexican food at my mom's) I eat!
ReplyDeleteI love a Sonic Coke! And Kraft mac and cheese cannot be beat!
ReplyDeleteFYI I bought cadbury mini eggs at Kroger on Tuesday!!!
ReplyDeleteBoxed Kraft is my favorite too- it's just so GOOD.
ReplyDeleteYum I love all of this stuff so much!! I hate when I see the nutrition info because I DON'T WANT TO KNOW AHH!! I like fake cheese a lot too, but it makes Brian want to puke usually lol.
ReplyDeleteI cannot have any of those Cadbury mini eggs near me or else I will eat them all!
ReplyDeleteYES to peanut butter m&m's! And my husband is with you on the kd. I've tried to make him healthier homemade versions, but he always prefers the box.
ReplyDeleteOMG, YES to all of these. Especially the donuts thing. Sonic my new favorite is their bacon cheesedog on a pretzel bun. I might have to indulge in that sometime this weekend. Queso is another one of my guilty pleasures. Oh man oh MAN do I love me some queso.
ReplyDeleteActually-I can agree on all the points you made. I'm going to stop here because otherwise I'm going to start gushing about fast food. And no one wants that.
Cadbury mini eggs!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, a girl after my own heart. Gosh I love everything on this list of yours. I want it all right now! But, seeing as how I just bitched about my weight on my blog today....I cant really justify any of this. Crap. Thanks a lot Lauren!
ReplyDeletePS - I saw the Cadbury mini eggs at my Target and Dollar General within the last week so they are out my dear! I ignored them but I don't know for how much longer I can....
Macaroni and cheese with fake cheese is the ultimate comfort food. I am embarrassed of how much I have eaten since getting pregnant. Not only is it delicious on a cold day (any day, really), it is also one of the few things I really wanted to eat during the first couple of months.
ReplyDeleteI am so with you on Sonic and the peanut butter M&Ms. I got the regular cookie butter for the first time from Trader Joe's a few weeks ago and it was just meh to me. Everyone talked about how fantastic it was, I think my expectations were too high. The chocolate, however, sounds amazing.
I love this! I have a draft post of weird food things I like.
ReplyDeleteSometimes nothing hits the spot like Kraft mac & cheese, am I right?
Sonic sounds delish, I always add onions to my chili cheese coney!
ReplyDeletekraft shapes taste better than the original. fact.
ReplyDeleteCheese dip or queso is so freaking good but because you can't have it without a ton of tortilla chips I don't have it very much anymore. Velvetta shells and cheese was like my meal of choice in college, add in some Kielbasa and it was heaven. Haven't had it in a long time though. I love Cadebury eggs but with the orange creme center, I couldn't find them last year and I was sad :(
ReplyDeleteThere's so many recipes for homemade mac and cheese, like in the crockpot, all these different noodles and cheeses and I'm just like... but I want my boxed fake stuff...
ReplyDeleteso, I put queso on grilled chicken last night. This post makes me happy and hungry.
ReplyDeleteI thought I was the only one who likes the Cadbury eggs!! Mmmm
ReplyDeleteI am a sucker for queso and sonic tater tots too.
I had the most intense craving for boxed mac and cheese last weekend. :(
Some other guilty pleasures are chick fil a nuggets and anything chocolate!
I am a complete sucker for the Velveeta boxed mac & cheese shells. But more than that I love oreos slathered with crunchy peanut butter!
ReplyDeleteI loved adding shredded cheese to boxed mac n cheese... mmmm MMMM!
ReplyDeleteOMG yes to all of the above!!
ReplyDeleteI love those donuts, too! Now that Hostess is back up and running, I typically gravitate toward those, but I don't discriminate. I sure love donuts (except filled ones, I hate those.) I also love boxed mac and cheese to the point that I not only typically dislike restaurant mac and cheese but I also prefer the off-brand kind of box mac and cheese instead of Kraft. Yes, I do realize I'm crazy!
ReplyDeleteQUESO FOREVER!
